Maybe make this emote a little more recognizable? At first I thought it was like a GB kiss emote, but then someone said it’s maybe being ashamed? Some particles coming off of it (if it is ashamed), like some purple swirls or something might help to make it more obvious. But the rest are awesome!

Also, a more audible or visual feedback when you collect a boost refill or a power up would be great. Sometimes it’s so close between players that I can’t tell for a second who actually got it. I feel a visual “explosion” like when you score in Golf Blitz would be nice, but more subtle than that game. Like a tiny ring of stars maybe?

Allow spectators to use emotes that can be seen on the sides of the screen by players like they are fans in the stands. This is how it is in clash Royale and it's fun cause it gives spectators something to do. There would be a cooldown so no spam

Suggestion, grapple/tether powerup. Whatever it hits, your car gets tethered to. Opponent can drag you around, but you can also drive against the tether to pull them back away from the ball. You could tether the ball and drag it around/pull it away from your net OR swing it into the opponent's net. If you mess it up and hit the wall or an obstacle, you get stuck for a teeny bit

Sometimes when I collect powerups, they don't get queued and instead erase the one I currently had... Please make it so that it doesn't erase the one you had and if you drive over a gem with 2 powerups in the queue, you don't collect it

I think on player stats there should be a counter for how many games played, how many won and how many lost for those who like to keep track but there are too many to count. Also with the nitros I feel that if you already have full nitros that if you go over a booster thing then it shouldn't take it. It should stay there for either the other player or yourself. And maybe make it last a bit longer.

Ability to lock and unlock your current power ups. Have a lock button. If tapped it is in the locked position and keeps your current power ups locked in place even if you run over power up you just don’t pick it up. If untapped the icon shows unlocked and you can get a new power up when you run one over. First Picture: You would keep shockwave power up if ran over a power up. When using vacuum, in the case of someone using a powerup that disconnects the ball from the vacuum, the vacuum should end instead of running the full duration of the powerup. It’s annoying when the ball gets knocked off of the vacuum and you can’t do anything to defend because you are slow

The vacuum is OP for instance and shouldn’t be given to the player already winning let alone already winning AND having 500+ medals and +n levels above their competitor. So I have a few powerup suggestions that might sound interesting

#1 Spider Web: you can shoot the spider web at the ball in order to stick to it, almost like having a rope that’s attached to you and the ball. In order to use it to your benefit, you have to break the web off the ball, so if you start spinning around and spin the ball around you with the web it will break off from having enough speed. If you got good using the powerup you could web to the ball and completely halt its momentum, then flip it around into the opponents goal. #2 Magnet: Well we already have a powerup that straight up is the equivalent to holding a soccer ball right? This one would act similar to the magnet ball in SSG3, where the ball would be attracted to your car and you’d be able to enable and disable the magnet before it runs out. Again also useful if the ball is almost in the goal and you’re on the other side, since it will be attracted to you #3 Lightning: It’s a lightning strike that you can shoot out that when it hits your opponent will completely stop their momentum and disable their controls for half a second, but will NOT knock them somewhere and will NOT spin them (this is to be as if the lightning short circuited the car for a moment by stopping its speed and preventing you from accelerating for a small moment) (edited)

I agree with Hoff about the same power ups available in game equal to lower the level. While I enjoy having more available it is a bit unfair. I think it’ll discourage lower level players who advance slower to play or continue playing. Also think it would discourage newer players who are getting wiped on the floor game after game.

Blakie I think that’s a terrible idea - it’s just an opportunity to introduce more bugs - we could end up with it affecting the stats page and it showing negative medals and all sorts or end up with it randomly setting us all back to level 1 at season ends.... Do you mean like having the power up afford with stronger the higher your level - eg the sticky is a small patch as a level 1 and a larger patch as you level up? Or even maybe in reverse - things like that are stronger/bigger at lower levels and less at higher levels?

When you have the blue boost powerup (I don’t know the proper name for it), when it wears off, there should be an indicator that it’s about to go and/or a grace period or something. Almost every time I have it, I end up burning most of my regular boost supply in the time it takes me to see and react to the powerup expiring.

@Big Boss It’s hard for me to keep an eye on the boost button while also keeping an eye on where I’m going, especially when I’m whipping around at high speed and trying to steer.

I like your idea of hitting the boost powerup button to boost when the powerup is active, because then when that powerup ended, you wouldn’t still be holding down the boost button.

For the launch of the game, change the “deals”. In GB, we were enticed to purchase the deals because the value was better than the standard store. All new players are trying to level up and if you compare the “deals” to the gems, it doesn’t make sense. We want the emotes and comments that come with it but not at the start of the game. This takes away from additional IAPs because the player feels they are (in a sense) losing in every purchase

I suggest that you should add a button to rematch the player you just played against- this is even more useful now out of beta as in beta there were few enough players that you had a decent chance of playing the same player again, now you have no such chance

Leveling up takes too long. Also, what good are the gems? Only to buy tokens? In any case, rewards should scale up by level, so rewards are higher. Otherwise one can remain at a very low level for weeks and have to play against Lv.8+ with some maxed out stats, which is a pretty predictable result provided they know how to play.

I also have found my car to randomly stall while trying to steer. Not sure why. (edited)

Also @RgRdGr you have to eventually learn to anticipate these things and adjust for them. I saw pink goo blocking a shot, so stopped the ball by moving it to the side, along the wall, onto the goo, then back behind to push it in as the goo faded. See in highlights. (edited)

Frankly, I even impressed myself with that one, beat a 200+ player on that goal.

Watching the replay I was surprised to see it so fluidly.

@Cyclone you’re the second person to tell me to anticipate a power up. There’s no anticipating what you can’t see coming. If I knew my opponent’s power up then yes, I could anticipate they would use it. But without knowing if they have an offensive or defensive power up, no one is going to “get good” at outsmarting the unknown.

I like the not knowing, cos it makes it fun and keeps me on my toes. If I knew what they had, I could plan a strategy around that, but where is the fun it that? I like the quick thinking, the realising that to win I have to push forward and get better at using the powerups. Plus, if you don't know what they have, you can prepare for it to be anything therefore no matter what they throw at you, you are prepared to fight back.

@RgRdGr You don't follow what I'm saying. No, you can't possibly know they have a power-up unless you see them run the icon over or otherwise see it missing yourself, but you know what the various power-ups will be and need to be able to anticipate usage of any of those power-ups. I have used that explosion to propel the ball off a wall into a net and the opponent has no time to react. The posted highlight, I moved around goo expecting him to drop something by driving horizontally in front of me. These are things you get with experience, and rather than commit and possibly give the ball away, you want to maintain control of the ball and force them to commit a block that ends up doing nothing to you.

@Cyclone I can follow when my opponent picks up a power up. The point is, not knowing which one they have prevents you from strategizing against their use. The outcomes of each one are VERY different. No experience is going to help you overcome randomness. (edited)

@RgRdGr While you have a point on that, it can be useful to try to guard against any known possibility that can lead to a goal. Goo is a hard one to prevent if they know how to play it, but someone using a recoil explosion or a rocket boost can be headed off. The jury is still out on the pincers. And I feel like I forgot one up to Lv.3.

Turns out this one has many power ups I don’t and I had to lose multiple sweeps since he also has way better stats, and it is kind of unfair to have to contend with that given the level disparity and that I have no chance to start with. I said this in general chat, but I really feel the arenas should work similar to how they do in Clash Royale, where the trophies/medals determine the level of the arena you reach and the rewards associated with that. Not your player level. Not only is it more rewarding, but it also stops from matching with higher level players who have new abilities that you don't have yet... its ok once, but it happens a lot haha. Just my two cents! Love the game so far

you can be a high level, but have a low trophy/medal count etc.

Yes Blitz, they’ve either moved it slightly left or made it smaller! I’m glad someone has the same issue. It’s unnatural how left it is above the boost button. Your thumb naturally arcs to the right (assuming you have your boost on the right) and because the powerup is marginally left it’s easy to completely miss it when trying to deploy it!

Not sure if this has been suggested before or not, but I think tournaments would be a fun addition to the game. You could add 1v1 and 2v2 bracket style tournaments. The first few rounds could be single elimination and then once you get towards the top it could be best of 3 games. Winners get gold and/or gems.

Let’s discuss powerups. This is ridiculous, especially since not both players have this, so it is a heavy weighting towards the capable user of that powerup. Notice I had him trapped in goo and still suffered three of those (two after he freed himself) on a sure goal otherwise. I still won thanks to a plow on the next faceoff. But my point still stands.

Day 1, maybe 100 tokens, then 150, third day is 10 Gems, then 200 tokens, 300 tokens, 25 gems, 500 tokens for day 7. Miss a day, one less reward that week, you miss the 500 for instance. (edited)

#ideas I don’t know if it’s only me but, I really feel like that some power are unbalanced and the fact that the power that you get is random makes the match unbalanced and sometimes auto goal and change the match just like that. Wouldn’t it be better to be able to select a set of skills that you want to play with (Like 3 for example) it would lower the random factor (edited)

I think there’s pages of stats they could add that would be awesome and fun to look at and would add an extra competitive edge (but for insight about your opponents strats and also for different dimensions on who is the best etc). They’d need to introduce it soon though so they don’t miss too many seasons of historic info

It might be really nice if players were given not just the best badge they qualify for at the end of a season, but also all below - e.g. 500th place finish would get the stone badge AND the wood badge. A few seasons down the road, I could understand a player potentially being more proud of and want to display 20 top 1000 finishes rather than 1 top 25 finish or 3 top 100 finishes, for example. Car mechanics are all the same, it's not like Rocket League with Half-flips and double-flip-resets. If you want better control over your car just level it up. The only thing different about cars is the hitbox

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but when you find a game while queuing can you also add a vibrate? In most other games when you are queuing and you find a game it will vibrate. Sometimes it goes unnoticed when it’s silent, especially when there are longer queues

Switch powerups to upgrqde system with coins. Make it like 3 tiers for each powerup.

Also, restrict powerups available to lowest level, although no restrictions in tier of power up. So while a level 8 player can play a level 4. They would have better car stats and stronger powerups

I agree that when first place seems out of reach there’s no reason to keep playing once top 10 feels secured... but not sure it’s something that needs to be changed. We’re playing with a relatively small player base right now... when more players are active, the increased competition will mean no one will have the luxury of just sitting still. (edited)

But again... have to think about how this would work with a larger player base. I think it's probably set up quite well as is to be future-proofed for accommodating more active players.

There are already even more reward tiers than in Golf Blitz and the system seems to work pretty well over there.

It is kind of weird that leaderboards go to top 50 but the badge goes to top 100 - I guess the added bonus is being seen on the leaderboard, but there's not even much incentive for that since we can't look at past seasons. Hopefully that gets added, and would make top 50 feel more rewarding.

No expectation for a new game mode any time soon of course, but maybe in future - a rotating challenge mode similar to Golf Blitz would be cool: gameplay could be exactly the same except that instead of random powerups, each powerup picked up is the same. i.e. dodgeball challenge would mean that the only item either play gets is a dodgeball every time. Could also align the maps so that during ghost challenge for example (level 11 powerup), every game is played on jungle maps (corresponding level 11 map) for some extra variety compared to the normal trophy/competitive mode and to give lower-leveled players more of an opportunity to play higher-levelled maps. Reward could be a key inspired by the powerup.

I find myself after a day of playing with everyone completely equal wishing that instead everyone got equal stat points to create their own build. It's still completely fair as everyone would still be equal as no one could be better or worse than any one other player. Being able to create your own build for your own style of play was fun. That fun is now gone. Let us have some fun! Doing so you could reintroduce the "Respec" option also for a fair amount of gems which in turn supports Motorball and means more money for Noodelcake.

Just here to agree with Nitro’s post and the rest above me suggesting that we have a set number of stat points to distribute to fit our style of play. I believe as is we currently have about 35 or 36 stat points set by default. Let the default stats be set as they currently are since most can agree it’s a good neutral starting point for all players but let us have the option to redistribute those points however we want and let it be available to all players on day 1 rather than something we achieve at the later levels to keep everything as open and fair as possible. I get the idea of charging to “respec” each time but i think to make it truly new player friendly AND keep the current player base interested, allow us all to tinker with our stats as much as we want with no charge. Between every match if we want. It would help new players adapt quicker and give the experienced players an extra thing to play around with. (edited)

That’s alright, the one powerup I find a little weird is the duration on shield. It lasts way longer then any other powerup which isn’t very fun because you can’t use another powerup until it’s gone. So maybe shorten it to the same duration as infinite boost and spikes

@Deleted User Thats my dream as well. Im thinking of creating a big tournament at the season end almost like the playoffs for everyone to participate in. It would require mass cooperation and vc to coordinate matches but I suspect that I can do it.

!idea - I know this might sound crazy, but maybe incorporate some element of ad grinding for tokens/gems/whatever. I can only assume the 2.0 update cut down on IAP a lot but maybe if you introduce ads in some non invasive way it could help keep players leveling up and hopefully lighten the drop in in-app purchases a little. One example would be adding a third option in the shop for us to watch ads for some amount of tokens. 5, 10, 15, 20.....something that is worth our time, and of course yours.
